Changes

It has been too long since I have made an update, we have made some changes including new hours, new menu items (can we say tempura ice cream?) and a happy hour special.

Back when I made this blog I also made us a Myspace page (Facebook wasn't as popular back then, ha!) but I have officially switched over to FB so check us out. We need your help to get our own username on Facebook so please like us!

I am in the process of updating this blog with a new online menu, more pictures and whatever needs tweaking. Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you come in!

Opening date: Monday August 16th

The title says it all, we'll be reopening this coming Monday!  It's nice and cool inside so hope to see you there.

Hi I just wanted to announce that we will be closed the rest of this week due to Kenji getting an injury.  He's okay, it's some knee injury I don't know the details but I will be back to let everyone know when a date is set to reopen.   Thanks for your patience!

It's time for a summer break!

Hi guys, it's been a long time since I've updated the blog.  I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be closed for a couple weeks after this Friday.  We will be closed from Monday, July 26th through Tuesday, August 10th.  We will open back up on Wednesday August 11th! 

The AC was all fixed up, it's nice and cool inside.  Last Friday I was actually chilly and it was 103 or so outside, brr!  So if you can make it in by Friday, come on by.  If not we will see you after Wednesday, August 11th!

Labor Day Closure

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delayed post but just a reminder that we will be closed on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

Summer Closure Dates

Rodeo weekend!

We were a little unsure about tonight since the Redding rodeo was going on but it was pretty busy. Kenji slaved away most of the night!


This is Matt and Charlotte. I haven't seen them in quite a while but they have been coming for years, they are so nice. I forgot to ask if your name has an e or o I hope I spelled it right.


Ed and Candace came back with their friend John, they are so hilarious! If you ever see Ed at Jack's Grill ask him about the Pooh Belly, har har.


Last Friday Kenji made a pizza. Yes I said pizza! It had a fried seaweed crust, rice and topped with yellowtail and salmon and baked in the oven. I was impressed, Kenji is quite the artist!

Hi everyone, just to let you know I don't have an update this week sorry! Had a pretty dull night on Friday. I might sneak in a picture mid-week.

Almost there!

I love to photoshop, so I had fun making the new header logo, what do you guys think? Should I put phone/address in there?

I have a temporary menu setup (it's a .pdf file) it will take me a while to make a nicer looking one with pictures.

Directions, check. All that's left is the About section, I think I will put bios there.

If you are coming from south of Redding:
Head onto I-5 North
Take exit 678 (Hiltop Drive/Highway 44 exit)

I will be revamping the site in the next week so please don't mind the odd formatting while I get everything fixed up. The site will look very weird in the meantime. I have an online menu in the works as well!

Most of the links won't be up for a week or so.

I was thinking about photoshopping a new logo for the top to replace the text, any ideas on pictures?

Since it's Kool April Nites weekend, it was a pretty slow night. I didn't get to take any new pictures so I thought I would tell you about our party platters!
